Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- egg whites - 3 item
- pecans - 3/4 c
- heavy cream or Cool Whip - 1 c
- soda whole crackers, coarsely crumbled - 14 item
How to make cracker pie:
Beat egg whites until foamy; gradually add sugar, beating until stiff. Combine cracker crumbs, nuts and baking powder. Fold into egg mixture with vanilla. Spread into buttered pie pan. Bake at 350° until dry looking and browned. Do not overcook. Cool and spread with whipped cream or Cool Whip. Refrigerate for 2 hours.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
