  • sugar - 1 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • egg whites - 3 item
  • pecans - 3/4 c
  • heavy cream or Cool Whip - 1 c
  • soda whole crackers, coarsely crumbled - 14 item

How to make cracker pie:

Beat egg whites until foamy; gradually add sugar, beating until stiff. Combine cracker crumbs, nuts and baking powder. Fold into egg mixture with vanilla. Spread into buttered pie pan. Bake at 350° until dry looking and browned. Do not overcook. Cool and spread with whipped cream or Cool Whip. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
