Coconut pound cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- shortening - 2/3 c
- can flaked coconut - 1 oz
- sticks soft oleo - 2 item
How to make coconut pound cake:
Mix oleo, shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Mix flour and baking powder and add to oleo mixture. Add milk and coconut. Bake for 1 1/2 hours at 350° in a greased and floured pan.Note: I like to put a powdered sugar glaze over the cake.
