- vanilla - 2 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- butter - 1 c
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- egg whites - 2 item
- sifted cake flour
- eggs, reserving whites for icing - 5 item
- Add one egg at a time, beating after each one
How to make coconut cake:
Cream butter and sugar. Add one egg at a time, beating after each one. Add flour, sifted 5 or 6 times with baking powder, alternately with milk. Add vanilla. Bake in 3 (9-inch) layers at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool and frost.Icing:1 fresh grated coconut, reserving milk2 egg whites1 c. sugar Beat egg whites; add sugar. Beat and add coconut milk to coconut and egg mixture. Spread on layers. Keep in cool place. Fresh coconut and regular milk can be used.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Egg.
