Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 2 oz
- sour cream
- powdered sugar - 2 c
- Cool Whip
- box Duncan Hines yellow butter cake - 1 item
How to make coconut cake:
Filling:1 (16 oz.) sour cream2 c. powdered sugar2 (6 oz.) pkg. frozen coconut1 1/2 c. Cool Whip Mix cake as directed. Bake in 2 layers. Cool thoroughly; split each layer.Mix sour cream, sugar and coconut together. Reserve 1 cup of mixture. Put rest of mixture between each layer as you stack on cake plate. Mix Cool Whip with the 1 cup coconut mixture. Frost top and side of cake. May need more powdered sugar. Refrigerate 3 days before serving. Note: Can be used earlier.
