Chunky apple cake

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 2 c
• cinnamon - 2 tsp
• vanilla extract - 1 tsp
• salt - 1 tsp
• flour - 2 c
• large eggs - 2 item
• butter, melted - 1/2 c
• chopped walnuts or pecans - 1 c
• Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced - 4 item

How to make chunky apple cake:

Stir together first 4 ingredients in a large bowl until blended. Combine flour and next 2 ingredients; add to butter mixture, stirring until blended. Stir in apple slices and nuts. Spread into greased 13 x 9-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Cool completely in pan on a wire rack. Spread with cream cheese frosting. Yields 12 to 15 servings.
