Ingredients/Components
- egg yolks - 5 item
- confectioners sugar - 1 c
- flour - 1/4 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- cocoa - 3 Tbsp
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- stiff-beaten egg whites - 5 item
How to make chocolate roll:
Beat egg yolks until thick and lemon-colored. Add sifted dry ingredients and beat until well blended. Add vanilla extract and fold in egg whites. Spread in greased, waxed paper-lined 10 1/2 x 15-inch jelly roll pan. Bake in moderately hot oven (375°) for 15 to 20 minutes.Turn out on towel sprinkled with confectioners sugar. Remove paper, cut off crisp edges and roll up for 1 minute. Unroll; cool and spread with sweetened, whipped cream. Roll like jelly roll; dust with confectioners sugar.
