Chocolate chip cookies
Ingredients/Components
- butter, softened - 1 c
- sugar - 3/4 c
- pkg - 1 oz
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- brown sugar - 3/4 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- all-purpose flour*
How to make chocolate chip cookies:
Heat oven to 375°. Mix butter, sugars and egg. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt; the dough will be stiff. Stir in nuts and chocolate chips. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto UNGREASED cookie sheet. Bake until light brown, about 8 to 10 minutes. The center will be soft. Cool slightly and eat.For Bars: Press dough in ungreased rectangular pan (13 x 9 x 2). Bake until golden brown, about 25 minutes. Cool and then cut into bars (3 x 1/2), making approximately 24 bars. ENJOY!
*If using self-rising flour omit the baking soda and salt.
