- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- water - 1 c
- cocoa - 4 Tbsp
- sticks margarine - 2 item
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- nuts, finely chopped - 1 c
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- Cook margarine, cocoa and water to a boil, then pour over dry ingredients
How to make chocolate cake:
Sift together dry ingredients; set aside. Cook margarine, cocoa and water to a boil, then pour over dry ingredients. Add eggs, one at a time, then buttermilk and vanilla. Bake in a greased jelly roll pan at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes.Frosting:1 stick magarine4 Tbsp. cocoa4 to 6 Tbsp. buttermilk1 box powdered sugar1 c. nuts, finely chopped Bring margarine, cocoa and buttermilk to a boil, then add powdered sugar and nuts.
