Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- oil - 1/2 c
- vinegar - 1/4 c
- sliced almonds - 1 c
- soy sauce - 2 Tbsp
- sesame seed - 2 Tbsp
- large can chow mein noodles - 18 oz
- large head nappa lettuce, cut in small pieces - 1 item
- to 5 scallions, cut in small pieces - 4 item
How to make chinese salad:
Saute butter, sesame seed, almonds and noodles until light brown. Bring to boil sugar, oil, vinegar and soy sauce for 1 minute. Let cool. Just before serving, mix noodle mixture with lettuce and onions. Pour dressing over lettuce; toss lightly.Recipe categories: Salads, Vegetables, Chinese.
