Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- salt - 3 Tbsp
- vinegar - 3 c
- cloves - 1 tsp
- allspice - 1 tsp
- chopped onions
- chopped bell peppers - 2 c
- chopped ripe tomatoes - 5 qt
How to make chili sauce:
Combine chopped vegetables, salt and sugar; simmer until mixture starts to thicken. Then add vinegar and spices and cook down until it becomes a thick sauce. Pour into hot, sterilized jars. Boil in jars for 15 minutes. This makes 3 quarts.Recipe categories: Low protein, Condiments, etc., Main dish.
