Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- milk - 1/4 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- eggs, separated - 2 item
- flaked coconut - 1 c
- almond extract - 1/4 tsp
- lemon juice - 1 tsp
- margarine, melted - 2 Tbsp
- Pet Ritz pie shell - 1 item
How to make chewy macaroon pie:
Preheat oven to 375°. Beat egg yolks and salt together. Add sugar 1/2 at a time. Blend well. Beat in milk, butter, lemon juice and almond extract. Beat egg whites until stiff. Fold egg whites and coconut in egg yolk mixture. Pour filling into frozen pie shell. Bake 35 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
