Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 1/4 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- coconut - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- chopped walnuts - 3/4 c
- sifted flour - 1 c
- eggs, slightly beaten - 2 item
- quartered maraschino cherries - 1/2 c
How to make cherry coconut bars:
Heat oven to 350°. With hands, mix flour, butter, confectioner's sugar until smooth. Spread thin with fingers in 8-inch square pan (greased). Bake 25 minutes. Stir remaining ingredients into beaten eggs. Spread over top of baked pastry. Bake about 25 minutes. Cool. Cut into bars or squares.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cookie and brownie, Bar cookie.
