Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- pkg
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- soda - 2 tsp
- grated carrots - 3 c
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- nuts - 1/2 c
- sifted powdered sugar
- cake flour - 2 c
- canola oil
- eggs unbeaten - 4 item
- small amount of cream - 1 item
How to make carrot cake:
Icing:1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese1 1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla small amount of cream1/2 c. nuts1/2 c. butter Cream sugar, oil and eggs at once. Sift dry ingredients together and add to egg mixture. Fold in carrots and nuts. Bake at 350° in a tube pan for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.Icing: Blend cheese, sugar, butter and vanilla with cream until smooth. Stir in nuts.
