- vanilla - 1 Tbsp
- flour - 1 c
- brown sugar - 3 c
- egg yolks - 4 item
- boiling water - 3 c
- lump of butter - 1 item
- Brown Sugar Meringue:4 egg whites
How to make caramel pie:
Brown Sugar Meringue:4 egg whites8 Tbsp. brown sugar1 Tbsp. vanilla Cook boiling water, brown sugar and flour until thick. Cool and add 4 egg yolks with fork. Cook 1 minute. Add lump of butter and 1 tablespoon vanilla. This will make 2 pies.Brown Sugar Meringue: Beat egg whites until frothy. Add sugar gradually and beat until stiff. Add vanilla and spread on pies. Bake in slow oven at 350° for 15 minutes.
