Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- vanilla - 1 Tbsp
- flour - 1 item
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- shortening - 1 Tbsp
- hot water
- sweet milk - 1/2 c
- a little salt - 1 item
- Add hot water and 1 cup sugar; boil to dissolve, about 3 to 5 minutes
How to make caramel dumplings:
Brown 1/2 cup sugar to dark brown in skillet. Add hot water and 1 cup sugar; boil to dissolve, about 3 to 5 minutes. Add salt and butter.Dumplings:1/2 c. sugar1 Tbsp. shortening1/2 c. sweet milk1 Tbsp. vanilla a little salt flour Mix sugar, shortening, milk, vanilla and salt.
