Ingredients/Components
- salt - 2 tsp
- brown sugar, packed - 3/4 c
- catsup - 1/2 c
- can pork and beans - 1 oz
- prepared mustard - 2 tsp
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- ground round - 1/2 lb
- can kidney beans, drained - 1 oz
- bacon, diced - 1/2 lb
- can garbanzo beans, drained - 1 oz
- cider or white vinegar - 4 tsp
- box frozen lima beans, thawed under water - 1 oz
How to make calico beans:
Cook ground beef; brown onions in large skillet until meat loses color and onion is tender. Drain excess fat. Add other ingredients in a 3-quart casserole dish. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes or until bubbly.Recipe categories: Main dish, Beef, One Dish meal.
