Calico beans
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- brown sugar - 1/3 c
- vinegar - 2 Tbsp
- catsup - 1/2 c
- can pork and beans - 1 oz
- mustard - 1 Tbsp
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- can kidney beans, drained - 1 oz
- can lima beans, drained - 1 oz
- can butter beans, drained - 1 1/2
- slices bacon, cut in 1-inch pieces - 4 item
How to make calico beans:
In a frying pan, brown the bacon and onion. Add catsup, sugar, vinegar, mustard and salt. Stir to combine well. Remove from heat and combine with beans. Spoon into 2 1/2-quart casserole. Bake, covered, 30 minutes at 325°. Remove cover and bake 3Recipe categories: Main dish, Beef, One Dish meal.
