Greek stuffed tomatoes
Ingredients/Components
- egg - 1 item
- bread crumbs - 1/2 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- olive oil - 2 Tbsp
- small onion, diced - 1 item
- dried basil - 2 tsp
- Feta cheese, crumbled - 1/2 lb
- cooked chopped spinach - 2 c
- firm, medium tomatoes, insides scooped out - 6 item
How to make greek stuffed tomatoes:
Preheat oven to 350°. In a small saucepan, heat oil and saute onion for 10 minutes. Combine all the remaining ingredients except tomatoes and add to the onion. Stuff filling into tomatoes. Bake for 15 minutes and serve. Serves 4 to 6.Recipe categories: Main dish, Lamb/sheep, Tomato.
