  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • stick margarine - 1 item
  • water - 1 c
  • oil - 1/2 c
  • cocoa - 1/4 c
  • buttermilk - 1/2 c
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • box powdered sugar - 1 item

How to make buttermilk brownies:

Frosting:1/3 c. buttermilk1/4 c. cocoa1 stick margarine1 box powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla Mix flour, sugar and cocoa for brownies. Set aside. In large saucepan, bring to boil margarine, water and oil. Add to dry ingredients; beat well. Add remaining brownie ingredients; beat well. Bake at 375° for 18 minutes in a greased jelly roll pan.

Frosting: Bring to boil in large saucepan the buttermilk, cocoa and margarine. Add powdered sugar and vanilla. Ice brownies while hot.
