Beef stroganoff
Ingredients/Components
- sour cream - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1/4 c
- shortening - 1/4 c
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- prepared mustard - 1 Tbsp
- tomato juice - 3 Tbsp
- can sliced mushrooms, drained - 1 oz
- sherry - 1/4 c
- Worcestershire - 1 Tbsp
- hot cooked rice or noodles - 1 item
- beef sirloin, cut into 3 x 1/2-inch strips
- can condensed bouillon or broth - 1 1/2
How to make beef stroganoff:
Coat beef with mixture of flour, salt and pepper. Brown meat in shortening in large frypan or Dutch oven. Stir in remaining ingredients, except sour cream, sherry and rice. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat; cook for 20 to 30 minutes. Stir in sour cream anRecipe categories: Main dish, Meat, Beef.
