Ingredients/Components
- mayonnaise - 1 item
- celery, diced - 1 c
- French dressing - 1 item
- chicken breasts, cooked, skinned and cut up in small chunks - 1 item
- small can water chestnuts, sliced use as many as you like - 1 item
- small amount of minced onion - 1 item
- small amount of pimento for color - 1 item
How to make pink chicken salad:
Marinate chicken in French dressing (enough to cover) for 1 hour or more. After marinating, drain off excess dressing. Add other ingredients and mayonnaise, enough to make it quite moist. Salad is pink in color. Pretty.Variation: Eliminate the French dressing and onion. Add pineapple chunks, cut up smaller. Small seedless green grapes can also be added, whole or in half.
