Ingredients/Components
- salt - 2 tsp
- brown sugar - 3 Tbsp
- vinegar - 2 Tbsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
- catsup - 2 c
- chopped onions - 1/2 c
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- mustard - 2 3
- sharp cheese - 1/4 lb
- franks - 1 lb
- dry lima beans - 1 lb
How to make bean casserole:
Cook dry beans in salt water until done. Drain. Place all ingredients in a baking dish and let it set overnight. Refrigerate, covered. Put in oven the next day and let cook, covered, for 30 minutes. Then remove cover and stir. Slice franks. Place cheese in the middle. Place franks on top of casserole. Cook at 375° until brown.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, One Dish meal.
