  • sticks butter - 3 item
  • flour - 1 c
  • nuts - 1/2 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • Cool Whip - 1 item
  • sifted powdered sugar - 2 c
  • to 5 bananas - 4 item
  • can crushed pineapple, drained - 1 item
  • maraschino cherries - 1 item

How to make banana split cake:

Crust: Melt 1 stick butter, 1 cup flour and nuts. Spread in a 10 x 13-inch pan and bake for 10 to 15 minutes, or until starts to brown, at 350°.

Filling: Mix the eggs, 2 sticks butter (melted) and powdered sugar; beat with mixer for 20 minutes at high speed. Layer cooled crust with bananas and drained pineapple. Pour the mixture that has been beaten over. Top with Cool Whip; sprinkle with nuts and place cherries on top. Put in refrigerator to set. (Cherries and top nuts are optional.)
