Ingredients/Components
- butter, softened - 1/2 c
- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 3 item
- salt - 1 tsp
- baking powder
- baking soda - 1/4 tsp
- flour all-purpose - 2 c
- banana, mashed
- nuts, chopped pecans or walnuts - 3/4 c
How to make banana nut bread:
Blend butter and sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time. Stir in mashed bananas. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Blend into creamed mixture. Stir in nuts. Turn into greased and wax paper-lined 9 x 5 x 3 loaf pan. Bake at 300° for 1 hour. Increase temperature to 350° and bake 15 to 20 minutes more or until inserted knife comes out clean.Recipe categories: Breads, Fruit, Yeast breads.
