Banana nut bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- chopped nuts - 3/4 c
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- sifted flour - 2 c
- margarine - 3/4 c
- eggs, well beaten - 2 item
- ripe mashed bananas
How to make banana nut bread:
Cream margarine and sugar thoroughly. Blend in bananas, eggs and vanilla. Add sifted dry ingredients and buttermilk. Mix well and add nuts. Bake in a greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan for 1 hour and 30 to 45 minutes at 330°. Use a toothpick to test center.
