Banana nut bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- melted butter - 2 Tbsp
- sifted flour - 2 c
- eggs, beaten until light - 2 item
- ripe bananas, well mashed - 3 item
How to make banana nut bread:
Mix mashed bananas and eggs in a bowl. Sift dry ingredients and stir into moist mixture until well blended, but do not beat. Add butter and nuts (melt butter). Pour batter into well-greased and floured loaf pans (9 x 5-inch). Let stand for about 10 minutes before baking.Meanwhile, preheat oven to 350°. After batter has stood 20 minutes, bake for 1 hour. If allowed to rest overnight, it slices much better. Makes 1 loaf.
