Ingredients/Components
- butter, softened - 6 Tbsp
- sugar
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- butter - 1/2 c
- buttermilk - 3/4 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- nuts - 1/2 c
- powdered sugar - 2 c
- sifted flour - 2 c
- orange juice - 1 Tbsp
- bananas, mashed - 3 item
- well beaten egg yolks - 2 item
- Sift dry ingredients
How to make banana cake:
Cream sugar and butter; add eggs and flavoring. Sift dry ingredients. Add milk and bananas to butter mixture. Gradually add flour mixture until smooth. Add nuts. Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes or until light brown on top. Top with Fluffy Cream Cheese Icing.Fluffy Cream Cheese Frosting:1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese6 Tbsp. butter, softened1 Tbsp. orange juice1 tsp. vanilla2 c. powdered sugar Mix with electric mixer until light and fluffy.
