Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- light brown sugar - 1 c
- pecans, chopped - 1 c
- well beaten eggs - 3 item
- corn or Wesson oil
- cake or enriched flour - 3 c
- Add flour, mixing well, then add the vanilla
- evaporated or fresh milk - 1/4 c
How to make apple nut cake:
Mix the first 4 ingredients. Add flour, mixing well, then add the vanilla. (If using self-rising flour, omit salt and baking soda.) Put in cold oven (do not preheat oven). Bake at 325°.Frosting:1 stick butter1 c. light brown sugar1/4 c. evaporated or fresh milk1 tsp. vanilla Let the first 3 ingredients come to a full boil. Add the vanilla.
