- sugar - 1/2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- brown sugar - 1/3 c
- butter - 1 2
- water - 2 c
- white sugar - 3/4 c
- to 8 tart cooking apples - 6 item
How to make apple dumplings:
Use favorite 2 crust pie pastry recipe. Divide into number of apples. Roll out. Place apple in center. Spoon 1 to 2 tablespoons sugar-cinnamon mixture into the cavity of pared, cored apple. Dot with butter. Wrap and seal. Place in baking dish in a 375° oven.Bring to a boil the last 5 ingredients. Pour over apples. Bake until brown. Baste once.
