Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2/3 c
- brown sugar - 1/4 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- rolled oats - 1 c
- medium apples - 8 item
How to make apple betty:
Peel and cut apples into eights. Place in large bowl. Add sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg and toss lightly. Place in greased 9-inch pan and set aside. Combine and mix well the flour, oats, brown sugar, salt and baking soda. Add butter and cut in with pastry blender or fork. Sprinkle evenly over apples.
