- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 3/4 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- orange juice - 1/4 c
- sliced, peeled tart apples - 4 c
How to make apple betty:
Mound apples in buttered 9-inch pie plate; sprinkle with orange juice. Combine sugar, flour, spices and dash of salt. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly; sprinkle over apples. Bake at 375° for 45 minutes or until apples are tender and top is crisp.Recipe categories: Pie, Pies and tarts, Cakes.
