Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 5 c
- water - 5 Tbsp
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- buttermilk - 2 c
- baking powder - 5 tsp
- shortening - 1 c
- yeast, dissolved in warm water - 1 pkg
How to make angel biscuits:
Cut shortening into dry ingredients. Add milk and water with yeast; mix well. Dump on floured board; cut out. Bake on greased cookie sheet. Bake in hot oven. The dough will keep a week in refrigerator.Recipe categories: Breads, Rolls/biscuits, Yeast breads.
