Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3 Tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 5 c
  • water - 5 Tbsp
  • soda - 1/2 tsp
  • buttermilk - 2 c
  • baking powder - 5 tsp
  • shortening - 1 c
  • yeast, dissolved in warm water - 1 pkg

How to make angel biscuits:

Cut shortening into dry ingredients. Add milk and water with yeast; mix well. Dump on floured board; cut out. Bake on greased cookie sheet. Bake in hot oven. The dough will keep a week in refrigerator.
