Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 tsp
- oil - 1/2 c
- self-rising flour
- dry yeast
- lukewarm water - 1/2 c
- pinch of baking soda - 1 item
- buttermilk room temperature - 1 c
How to make angel biscuits:
Dissolve baking soda in buttermilk. Put flour and sugar in a large bowl and mix well. Dissolve yeast in water and add to milk mixture; mix well. Add oil and mix again. Cover with wet warm cup towel and leave about 1 hour or until doubled in bulk. Punch down. Pinch off some and place on floured board. Add enough flour to make pliable. Roll out and cut.
