Tomato aspic
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- cold water - 2 envelopes
- vinegar - 3 Tbsp
- cloves - 6 item
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
- tomato juice - 4 c
- stalk celery - 1 item
- bay leaves - 2 item
- small onion, sliced - 1 item
- pinch of salt and pepper - 1 item
- chopped walnuts if desired - 1/4 c
- sliced olives if desired - 1 c
How to make tomato aspic:
Simmer the first 5 ingredients for 15 minutes. Strain the liquor into the gelatin. Add the vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Cool. If desired, add the walnuts and olives. Pour into mold and chill.Recipe categories: Salads, Side dish, Very low carbs.
