  • sugar - 3 Tbsp
  • cream cheese
  • pkg - 2 oz
  • Cool Whip - 9 oz
  • margarine, melted - 3/4 c
  • frozen strawberries
  • curly pretzels, coarsely rolled

How to make strawberry surprise:

Middle Layer:8 oz. cream cheese1 c. sugar9 oz. Cool Whip Topping:2 small pkg. frozen strawberries2 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry jello Crust: Mix together pretzels, sugar and margarine. Press into 9 x 13-inch pan or dish.

Middle Layer: Soften cream cheese until fluffy. Add sugar and fold in Cool Whip. Put over crust and refrigerate.

Topping: Boil 1 cup water; dissolve jello. Add berries to mixture. Thicken enough so you can spoon it over Cool Whip mixture. Refrigerate with plastic wrap over the top for 6 hours.
