Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- milk - 1 c
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- beaten eggs - 4 item
- plain cornmeal - 1 c
- pint water - 1 item
How to make spoon bread:
Pour water and milk in a sauce pan. Bring to simmer. Add cornmeal and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Cool to lukewarm.Put cornmeal in a bowl, add sugar, butter and eggs. Mix well and pour into a greased 8 1/2 x 12 inch baking dish. Bake 30 to 40 minutes or until golden brown at 400°.
