Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder
- all-purpose flour - 2 c
- cream of tartar - 3/4 tsp
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- whole wheat flour - 1 c
- butter or oil - 3/4 c
How to make sky high biscuits:
In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, salt and cream of tartar. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal. Add egg and milk, stirring quickly and briefly. Knead lightly on a floured board. Roll or pat gently to 1-inch thickness. Cut into 1 to 2-inch biscuits. Place on a greased cookie sheet.
