  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • milk - 3/4 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • baking powder - 4 tsp
  • shortening

How to make shortcake biscuits:

Mix flour, salt, sugar and baking powder. Cut in shortening. Add milk. Either roll dough to 1/2 inch thickness and cut into biscuits, or pat into a 9-inch square cake pan. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes or until biscuits test done.
