- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- water - 3 c
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- soda - 2 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- raisins - 2 c
- cloves - 1/4 tsp
- lard - 1/2 c
How to make raisin cake:
Boil raisins in water for 10 minutes. Add soda and lard; let cool. Sift flour with salt, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and baking powder. Beat eggs; add sugar and milk. Add flour and raisin mixture. Cook in tube pan at 350° for an hour or more (until done).Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Fruit.
