Pumpkin bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 3 item
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour - 3 c
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- chopped dates - 2 c
- baking powder
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- pumpkin
- salad oil - 2/3 c
- cloves optional - 1 tsp
How to make pumpkin bread:
Heat oven to 350°. Mix first 8 ingredients in large mixing bowl with fork, then add next 3 ingredients with beater until everything is mixed together, then fold in nuts and dates. Makes 2 loaves. Bake at least 1 hour or longer if needed. Test with toothpick. Instead of dates you can use raisins.Recipe attributed to Arlene Pearson.
