  • nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
  • oil - 1 c
  • self-rising flour - 2 c
  • cloves - 1 tsp
  • pecans, chopped - 1 c
  • juice of 1 large lemon
  • size - 2 jars
  • Make a nest in mixture and add next 3 ingredients

How to make plum cake:

Sift together the first 5 ingredients. Make a nest in mixture and add next 3 ingredients. Mix all these together. Add pecans. Bake in a greased and floured tube pan for 1 hour at 350°.Glaze:1 c. 10x confectioners sugar juice of 1 large lemon Combine. Pour over warm cake. Let sit for 15 minutes before cutting.

Variation: Substitute baby food prunes instead of plums to make an old fashioned prune cake.
