Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- cream of tartar - 1/2 tsp
- butter flavoring - 1/2 tsp
- Crisco not oil - 1/2 c
- drops oil of peppermint - 8 item
- box 10x sugar, sifted - 1 lb
How to make mints:
Mix all ingredients. If not moist enough, use about 1 tablespoon hot water or more. Knead until smooth. After rolling out, let set a minute, then cut. Makes about 100 if you decorate, 150 to 175 undecorated. To color, add coloring before you knead. Place in cool, dry room.Recipe categories: Desserts, Low protein, Candy.
