Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 6 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- sour cream - 1 c
- butter or margarine - 1 c
- brown sugar - 1 c
- cocoa - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 1/4 tsp
- all-purpose flour
How to make mahogany pound cake:
Preheat oven to 350°. Bake 1 hour and 30 minutes.Separate eggs; beat whites until stiff and set aside. Soften butter or margarine; add sugar, brown sugar and egg yolks. Mix flour with cocoa. Add baking soda, sugar, butter and egg mixture, sour cream and vanilla. Mix to blend. Fold in egg whites.
