Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- beaten eggs - 2 item
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- grated Parmesan cheese - 1/2 c
- basil - 1 Tbsp
- parsley - 2 Tbsp
- chopped parsley - 1 Tbsp
- can 2 c - 1 lb
- powder - 1 clove
- cans 1 1/3 c - 2 oz
- lasagne or wide noodles - 10 oz
- Italian sausage or pork sausage or hamburger - 1 lb
- cartons large curd cream-style cottage cheese - 2 oz
- Mozzarella cheese, sliced thin and in strips - 1/2 lb
How to make lasagne:
Brown meat slowly; spoon off excess fat. Add next six ingredients to meat. Simmer, uncovered, until thick (45 minutes to 1 hour), stirring occasionally. Cook noodles in boiling water (salted) until tender; drain and rinse in cold water. Combine cottage cheese with next five ingredients.Place 1/2 of the noodles in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish. Spread 1/2 of the cottage cheese mixture over them. Add 1/2 of the Mozzarella cheese and 1/2 of the meat mixture. Repeat layers. Bake 1 hour at 350°. Let stand 10 to 15 minutes before cutting into squares.
