  • sugar - 1 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • soda - 2 tsp
  • vegetable oil - 2/3 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • all-purpose flour - 2 c
  • molasses - 1/4 c
  • ground cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • ground ginger - 1 tsp

How to make ginger crinkles:

Combine oil and 1 cup sugar in large mixing bowl. Add egg; beat well. Stir in molasses. Combine flour, salt, soda, cinnamon and ginger. Add to molasses mixture, stirring to mix. Roll dough into 1-inch balls. Roll in remaining 1/4 cup sugar. Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes, or until lightly browned. Remove to wire rack to cool. Yields about 4 dozen.
