Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- brown sugar - 3 Tbsp
- soda
- cooking oil
- margarine - 2 Tbsp
- cloves - 1/2 tsp
- eggs, slightly beaten - 3 item
- pecans, chopped
- apples, chopped Granny Smith or some other kind of cooking apple - 3 c
- Use large spoon or wooden spoon
How to make fresh apple cake:
Do not use electric mixer. Use large spoon or wooden spoon. Sift dry ingredients together. Add apples and nuts. Combine sugar and eggs; add oil and mix. Add this apple mixture. Pour into greased, floured tube pan and bake at 350° for one hour or until cake tester comes out clean. Cool in pan 15 minutes before removing. Top with Lemon Glaze.Frosting:2 Tbsp. cream3 Tbsp. brown sugar2 Tbsp. margarine Mix together in pan; bring to a boil. Remove form heat and cool.
