  • sugar - 3 Tbsp
  • cornstarch - 1/2 c
  • cold water - 2 c
  • food coloring variety of colors - 1 item
  • soap flakes or liquid dishwashing detergent - 1 item
  • muffin tins or 4 or 5 small cups
  • freezer paper - 1 item
  • old shirts for paint smocks - 1 item

How to make finger paints:

Mix sugar and cornstarch together in a medium sized saucepan over low heat. Add cold water and continue stirring until the mixture is thick. Remove from heat. Divide the mixture into 4 or 5 portions, spooning them into sections of a muffin tin or small
