Chicken rice hot dish
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- parsley flakes - 1 Tbsp
- bread crumbs
- diced celery - 1/2 c
- chopped, cooked chicken - 2 c
- thyme - 1/4 tsp
- can cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- uncooked Minute rice
- water or broth
- packets dry Lipton cream of chicken soup - 2 item
How to make chicken rice hot dish:
Topping:1/3 c. bread crumbs2 Tbsp. butter1 Tbsp. parsley flakes Butter a 2 1/2-quart baking dish. Mix first 10 ingredients and pour into dish. Top with bread crumbs, parsley and dots of butter. Cover and bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Remove cover for last 10 minutes of baking. Serves 8.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, One Dish meal.
