  • box Betty Crocker butter cake mix - 1 item
  • stick of butter, melted - 1 item
  • eggs - 4 item
  • box powdered sugar - 1 item
  • cream cheese - 1 pkg
  • vanilla - 2 tsp

How to make chess squares:

Mix cake mix, butter, and one egg together. Pat in bottom of 9 x 13 inch pan. Beat 3 eggs, then add cream cheese, beat well, then add powdered sugar, and vanilla. Pour over mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
