Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- flour - 2 c
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter and/or margarine - 1/2 c
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- 6 oz - 1 lb
How to make cherry crumb cake:
Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Mix with sugar. Cut in butter; add beaten egg and mix to make crumbs. Place 1/2 of crumbs in bottom of greased 13 x 9-inch pan. Distribute cherries evenly and top with remaining crumbs. Bake in moderate oven (350°) for 30 minutes. Serve with ice cream or other topping.
